Masayuki Tanaka received his bachelor's and master's degrees in control engineering and a doctoral degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1998, 2000, and 2003. He was a software engineer at Agilent Technologies from 2003 to 2004. He was a Research Scientist at Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2008. He was an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, from 2008 to 2016. He was a Visiting Scholar at Department of Psychology, Stanford University, from 2013 to 2014. He was an Associate Professor at School of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, from 2016 to 2017. He was a Senior Researcher at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology from 2017 to 2020. He was an Associate Professor at School of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, from 2020 to 2023. Since 2023, he has been a Professor at Graduate Major in Engineering Sciences and Design, Department of Systems and Control Engineering, School of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests include image processing and computer vision. Currently, he is leading Vision and Image Processing Lab.
