Dataset Description

     This dataset contains 31-band hyperspectral images from 420nm to 720nm at 10nm intervals. The images were captured using a monochrome camera with a VariSpec liquid crystal tunable filter (VariSpec VIS). The dataset is available only for research purpose and you may not redistribute the dataset.

Features

  • The dataset contains 31-band mhyperspectral images of colorful objects with rich textures, and therefore, is useful for the evaluation of various color/hyperspectral imaging and image restoration tasks.
  • The dataset is caliblated using a colorchart and saved in the spectral reflectance form. Therefore, users can simulate color/hyperspectral imaging pipeline with arbitrary camera sensitivity and illumination. Please see the sample code to do so.

Sample Code

     This sample code simulates our single-sensor multispectral imaging pipeline and can reproduce experimental results reported in our TIP and Sensors papers. As a part of simulating the pipeline, the code shows an example to generate a multispectral image (associated with camera sensitivity and illumination) from the 31-band spectral reflectance data, which can be usuful for general multispectral imaging purpose.
